Description
If coastal scenery captures your attention, this Devils Punchbowl Coaster features one of the most recognizable landmarks on the central Oregon coast. Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area is a day-use park located between Lincoln City and Newport and is known for its dramatic shoreline geology and ocean-carved formations.
The area centers on a large bowl naturally carved into a rock headland and partially open to the Pacific Ocean. During coastal storms, waves crash into the hollow formation — commonly called the punchbowl — creating a deep roar as surf churns, foams, and swirls inside the basin. The feature likely formed after the collapse of a roof over two sea caves and was shaped over time by continuous wave action along the Oregon shoreline.
The coaster contains an actual photograph epoxied onto a tile surface, sealed with a clear coat and finished with a cork underlayer. Handmade in Oregon. 1–2 coasters cost $9.95 ea and 3+ coasters cost $8.95 ea.
